Proud to be part of St Helens Striders

From building excitement before race day to capturing the atmosphere on the day itself, Aurora Creative Community was proud to support the St Helens Striders Trail 5 for the second consecutive year.

At Aurora Creative Community, we believe great content is about more than just creating something that looks good. It's about telling stories, bringing people together and creating conversations that make a difference.

Our recent collaboration with St Helens Striders is a great example of how content creation, event promotion and community spirit can work hand in hand.

Project Overview: 40 Years of Running Together

St Helens Striders has been part of the local running community for 40 years, growing from just a handful of runners into a thriving club with almost 300 members.

Over the years, the club has built a fantastic community around a shared passion for running, welcoming people of different abilities and backgrounds.

One of the highlights of their calendar is the annual St Helens Striders Trail 5, an event that welcomes 250 runners from running clubs and communities across the area.

More than just a race, it's an opportunity to bring people together, celebrate running and showcase the community spirit that makes local events so special.

For the second consecutive year, Aurora Creative Community had the opportunity to support the event through creative content and promotion.

Behind the Scenes: Building Excitement Before Race Day

A successful event doesn't just happen on the day. It starts weeks and months beforehand, building awareness, encouraging participation and creating excitement.

Having supported the previous year's event, Aurora Creative Community was able to utilise existing photography and video content to help promote this year's Trail 5.

By revisiting content captured at the previous event, we were able to showcase the atmosphere, energy and experience that runners could expect.

This helped bring the event to life across social media, giving potential participants a glimpse of what makes the Trail 5 worth being part of.

With promotion beginning earlier, the event went on to sell out all 250 places, demonstrating the value of maintaining a strong visual presence and building anticipation ahead of an event.

It's a great reminder that content doesn't have to stop working once an event is over. When used strategically, it can continue creating value long into the future.

Capturing the Moment: Content That Lives Beyond the Finish Line

When race day arrived, the focus shifted from promoting the event to capturing the experience.

From runners preparing at the start line to the determination out on the course and the celebrations at the finish, the aim was to capture the atmosphere that makes community running events so memorable.

Through video production, Aurora Creative Community documented the day, creating content that could be shared with participants, supporters and the wider running community.

But the purpose of the content went beyond simply looking back at a successful event.

It also provided St Helens Striders with another opportunity to celebrate their community, recognise everyone involved and build excitement for future races.

One event can create content that continues to tell its story long after the final runner crosses the finish line.

Collaboration: The Power of Community

One of the most rewarding parts of working on the St Helens Striders Trail 5 was seeing the collective effort that goes into making an event like this possible.

From the organisers and volunteers to the runners and supporters, everyone played a part in creating a brilliant day.

The turnout, encouragement and positive atmosphere reflected what makes the running community so special.

For Aurora Creative Community, being involved for a second year was about more than providing a creative service. It was about developing an ongoing relationship, understanding the event and contributing to something that brings people together.

That's the kind of collaboration we're passionate about building.

Working alongside organisations, clubs and businesses to create content that not only showcases what they do but helps strengthen the communities around them.

More Than Just Content

The St Helens Striders Trail 5 is a fantastic example of how creative content can support an event at every stage.

From using previous footage to promote the race and encourage registrations, to capturing new content that celebrates the occasion and supports future promotion, every piece of content has a purpose.

At Aurora Creative Community, our approach is built around understanding the bigger picture.

We want to help businesses, organisations and communities tell their stories, connect with their audiences and make the most of the moments that matter.

A huge thank you to St Helens Striders for welcoming us back for another year, and congratulations to everyone who helped make the Trail 5 such a success.
